can you see her? It's a rabbit! We have many different guests in our yard every morning, which thrills Mochi:)

見えるかな？うさぎでした！毎朝、いろんなお客様がうちの庭を訪れます。

an encounter with a squirrel

A squirrel came to find shelter from rather heavy rain at our window sill!
リスが雨宿りに来ました。

Mochi sneaks up on the squirrel.
すかさず忍び寄るモチ。

apparently she hissed at him/her for a while:) (the squirrel is outside, Mochi!)
シーッと音を立てて威圧していたようです。（リスは窓の反対側にいるんだけどねぇ）

car trip

but she got scared and decided to take a nap on my foot.
やっぱり怖がって私の足下でお休みすることにしたらしい。

Awwww:)

(don't worry. I supervised Mochi while Mr. was driving.)

What's out there?

Mochi loves looking outside.

She seems to be interested in everything out there.

Like bugs, wind, shadows, twirling leaves.

or birds, leaves on the trees, rain drops.

the nature is fascinating.

please don't go!

Mr. J! Pleeeese don't go!

As Mochi loves Mr. J, she cries like crazy when he goes to work or even when he's taking a shower!

a visit to in-laws

One of the reasons we went a bit overboard on buying new toys was that Mochi had a first mini road trip to see Mr. J's parents and she was a bit stressed out. She didn't come out from under the bed for a while and didn't meet them until last minute.

She does look a bit nervous, doesn't she?

But she loved their big house and especially a patio with screened walls - as if she were outside!

sorry Mochi but that's Mr. J's grandma made for him (well actually it was for his brother but we were able to get it:))

And that is the one I made for Mr. J!

So I've decided to make one for Mochi.

Mochi couldn't wait and kept interrupting me.

Sometimes she hides under the sofa and falls asleep.

But this is perhaps the best spot:)
